“Public” or “Commercial” Playground equipment refers to outdoor equipment for use by children ages 2-5, 5-12 or 2-12, located in an area of “public use” like public schools, non – residential child care facilities, parks, etc. The Consumer Product Safety Commission Publication 325 describes Safety Guidelines for these types of environments. By design, these playgrounds are different than the “Home Use Playgrounds”.
